Student Video - Whirring by The Joy Formidable.

I enjoyed this A2 music video for many different reasons, the song was very catchy but the real reasons being, 

• the effect in that they used was a colour correction tool, this was used to take out the main colour and add a sepia effect over the top, this went with the genre of the song and also the scene of the video itself.
• the video was very gripping, it made you think and also had the edge to it that had the cogs turning in your head, this is a very good technique to use as it looked upon the audience to figure it all out.
• the clocks stood out within the video, especially at the beginning, the first clock we see is a very good example of this, it is a very white clock and it goes with the performers shirts.
• the plain costume that the performers are given to wear help to make their facial features stand out, especially the main one, that being the number, whether it's from 1 - 12 around the clock in the places that they would be found on the face of a clock.
• although, there was not that much narrative, i believe that this video did not need that to tell its story. The way this video has been portrayed is a way that many different people can interpret.
